See the Mendes Chiswick Rebated Pair Un-Glazed External in our Ilford showroom, alongside over 300 other doors on display.

The Chiswick rebated pair has a laminated timber core with hardwood veneer facings and solid timber lippings, made for wider external openings. It is supplied unfinished, ready for a good exterior stain, paint or varnish.

It is supplied unglazed, with loose beading on one side, so you can fit the glass of your choice. Odd size doors are our speciality, and our own joinery workshop can make frames to suit, including side panels and top lights.

Fitting and care

Mendes external timber doors must be protected from rain and direct sunlight by a porch, canopy, recess or overhang. Seal all faces and edges, including the top and bottom, with a good exterior finish before hanging, and keep the finish maintained. Rebated pairs need a rebated lock or latch. We stock external hardwood frame sets to suit.
