Description

See the Mendes Islington Unglazed M&T Hardwood External Door in our Ilford showroom, alongside over 300 other doors on display.

Four traditional raised panels with raised mouldings, built with mortice and tenon joints, make the Islington a grand-looking hardwood door that takes paint or stain well. It is supplied unfinished, ready for a good exterior stain, paint or varnish.

It is supplied unglazed. It can be glazed with clear toughened double glazed units, and we can advise on the right glass. Odd size doors are our speciality, and our own joinery workshop can make frames to suit, including side panels and top lights.

Fitting and care

Mendes external timber doors must be protected from rain and direct sunlight by a porch, canopy, recess or overhang. Seal all faces and edges, including the top and bottom, with a good exterior finish before hanging, and keep the finish maintained. We stock hardwood frame kits, weather bars, locks and hinges to suit, and our workshop can make bespoke frames.

See them at our Ilford showroom: over 300 doors and over 200 handles on display, plus a large range of locks and door hardware, free parking, and odd sizes made to measure in our own workshop. Call 0208 599 0200.
